Steve Dark, Founding Partner of One Wealth Partners Financial & Insurance Solutions and Dark Financial & Insurance Services, asks his clients the hard questions about their financial planning. He understands how complicated the financial lives of wealthy individuals are and wants to make sure they understand, too. Steve challenges his clients to discover what is most important in their lives and to take the necessary steps to implement appropriate financial protection for themselves, their families, and their businesses. Steve’s services as a financial professional are especially valuable to corporate executives, business owners, high-income and high-net-worth professionals, individuals, and their families. After 20 successful years in the financial services industry, Steve has the knowledge and experience to help his clients protect what they’ve worked for, enjoy a comfortable retirement, and leave the legacy they choose for their heirs and community. Helping his clients with estate planning is especially important to Steve and he works closely with select trust attorneys who specialize in the type of complex wealth transfer strategies many of his clients require.

A graduate of Arizona State University, Steve began his career in financial services in 1996 and quickly earned national recognition among the company’s highest-level producers. Steve has qualified for the industry’s prestigious Million Dollar Round Table in every year since 1996 and Top of the Table since 1997. He is dedicated to providing his clients with the specialized service they expect and deserve.

Steve is an active presence in his local community and expects to be there to provide for his family and help his clients plan for generations to come.

As a Founding Partner of One Wealth Partners Financial and Insurance Solutions, Ed Wirtz works with successful individuals, business owners and families on comprehensive wealth management strategies to help them grow, protect, preserve and transfer their assets. Ed’s entrepreneurial skills and background, combined with his goal to help his clients help themselves, serve him well as a trusted advisor to his clients in both their business and personal financial lives. With this approach, he makes sure that everything is covered in the planning process and nothing in his clients’ financial lives is left to chance.

After graduating from the University of Southern California where he earned a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurial Studies, Ed was recruited by Northwestern Mutual in 1990. He was immediately successful, utilizing a comprehensive financial planning process to help his clients be prepared for any number of possibilities in their financial futures.

Along with his personal planning work for individuals and families, Ed began working with business owners early in his career. He handled a range of business protection issues, helping with everything from buy-sell agreements and key person insurance to business succession and estate tax planning. Today, along with owners of closely-held businesses, Ed’s clients include many entrepreneurial thinkers like himself such as investment banking and private equity professionals, attorneys and many other successful individuals.

Ed challenges his clients to strive for the goals most important to them and, while coaching them through financial decision making, encourages them to enjoy the ride along the way. “I get energized meeting with clients, hearing their stories and helping them move toward financial success,” Ed says. “When they follow the strategies we’ve designed and succeed, I’m always excited to see them reach – or exceed – their goals.”

Ed is involved with charitable organizations in the community as an active supporter of Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and a major donor to the Peninsula Education Foundation in Palos Verdes. He is also a member of USC’s Scholarship Club. Ed resides in Rolling Hills Estates with his wife, Della, and their two children. He enjoys basketball, golf, skiing, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Zane Dark is the managing partner of One Wealth Partners property and casualty insurance division. Zane is a California based insurance agent, but his practice expands into multiple states across the country. He strives to provide the best service to all his clients; ranging from personal lines and high net worth profiles to commercial insurance. With access to over thirty carriers, Zane takes pride in tailoring to his clients’ insurance needs and building long lasting relationships.

Prior to joining PCRG Insurance, Zane worked for a media advertising agency in Los Angeles. He has served as a business developer, assisting companies with their radio, TV, and digital adverting campaigns. In the process of working hand-in-hand with his clients, he was able to ensure that their needs were always met while also helping them plan their next course of action. He is now fully integrated into OWP’s system and is excited to continue his journey with their team.

Zane earned his Bachelor of Arts and Science degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder majoring in communications with a minor in economics. While there, he played on the university’s baseball team and was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity.

Athletics is a major passion for Zane: he loves all sports, in general, as well as being active outdoors and takes pride in his dedication to health and fitness.

From a young age, Zane has been surrounded by the insurance industry with his father, Steve Dark. Now, he has engraved his own path by becoming an agent and pursuing One Wealth Partners vision of starting their own property and casualty practice. With the opportunity now in full swing, he looks forward to what the future holds.

Laura Gruendler is Director of Financial Planning for One Wealth Partners Financial and Insurance Solutions as a key member of the team. Laura’s primary role is to work with the advisor and their clients to develop a wealth management strategy based on the client’s unique set of circumstances. She then implements and manages those strategies in coordination with clients’ other trusted advisors, such as their CPA, employer benefits coordinators and estate planning attorneys to enhance each client’s wealth management goals. Additionally, Laura is instrumental in employing best practices to ensure that the operations run as efficiently and productively as possible.

Laura is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and holds Series 6, 7, and California Life and Health Insurance licenses.

Laura has worked in financial services for 20+ years providing support to multiple partners. As a result of her knowledge of and interaction with the firm’s clients over many years, Laura has come to know them personally. She notes that one of the most rewarding aspects of her work is seeing clients benefit from implementing the strategies and recommendations her team has made over the years.

Laura graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. When not working, Laura enjoys cooking, traveling and enjoying the Southern California outdoors.

Shane Foley has worked in the real estate and capital markets for the past twenty-five years. A Southern California native, Shane has roots in both Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

Shane received his BA in Political Science and Communications from USC in 1991 and he later earned his MBA from Pepperdine University. He opened his own office in Pasadena in 2017 with Capstone Partners/Mass Mutual. Previously, he was Vice President, Senior Private banker at Wells Fargo Private Bank for nearly eight years. Over the past twenty-five years, he has built considerable expertise in the capital markets with positions at companies such as GE Capital, Colliers International, and as a business owner with Access Capital. At One Wealth Partners, Shane works with high-net-worth individuals and families as well as business owners engaging in areas of financial planning and includes life insurance, investment management, wealth transfer, estate planning, and tax mitigation. He is focused on strategy, solutions, and long-term success for his clients.

He currently serves on the USC Athletics Board of Counselors, the USC Dornsife Board of Councilors and he and his wife recently started Rainy Day Pennies, a charity that teaches children about helping and giving back to other children in need. Shane also served on Pete Carroll’s focus A Better LA’s Executive Board of Directors, and he is a Board Emeriti for the USC Alumni Association. Shane played quarterback at USC from 1986-1990 and he was part of three consecutive Rose Bowl teams.

Shane resides in La Canada Flintridge with his wife Farrell and their two boys Connor and Quinn. He maintains an active lifestyle and he his active in his local community. He enjoys regular exercise, coaching his boys and travel with his family.


David Tuason
Life Insurance Consultant

Beginning his independent sales practice in January 1994, focusing primarily on life insurance sales in personal, estate, and business planning markets, David Tuason swiftly became a prominent figure in the industry. Within five years, a notable shift occurred in the focus of his business towards collaborative efforts with other advisors. Over the years, he forged close working relationships with various professionals, including life insurance producers, brokerage general agents, career agencies, advanced planning attorneys, accountants, business managers, trust officers, family offices, business owners, and other professionals.

Passionate about sharing his knowledge, he has conducted training sessions and presentations for fellow life insurance agents, wealth management advisors, as well as employees and staff within life insurance home offices and agencies.

Recognizing the widespread misunderstanding surrounding permanent life insurance with cash value build-up, David is dedicated to demystifying this complex product within the financial services market. His goal is to empower clients and their advisors to navigate these complexities effectively. Through raising awareness and fostering understanding, David aims to enable informed decision-making that leaves a lasting positive impact on future generations, charities, and organizations his clients care about the most.

Eliana Salgado is the Executive Assistant to Steve Dark, founding partner of One Wealth Partners Financial & Insurance Solutions, where she is also instrumental in Client Relations. Since joining OWPFN in August 2019, Eli has acted as Steve’s right hand, providing scheduling and all follow up to Steve’s investments and business ventures, assisting him in client relations meetings, underwriting and servicing clients’ policies.

Eli is an officially licensed Notary Public, notarizing documents and affidavits for clients and administer oaths for legal documents, trusts and grants. Prior to joining the firm, Eli served as the Operations & Business Coordinator for a financial services firm in Century City, CA, where she worked with twenty agents.

After graduating from Cal State, Northridge with a Bachelor’s Degree, she worked as a case manager for an Employment law firm in downtown Los Angeles where she managed 75 cases at a time; scheduled depositions, client meetings and interviews; and handled intake calls, following cases from initiation through settlement. In her free time, Eli enjoys foreign and domestic traveling, especially visiting museums in different cities to learn about its history and culture.

Eli is passionate about demonstrating good work ethics to ensure the firm’s clients receive the highest level of service and have a consistent, high-level quality of work that is completed correctly, and in a timely and organized manner.

Evelyn Medina is the Director of Insurance Underwriting at One Wealth Partners Financial & Insurance Solutions and an Insurance Services Specialist. In this capacity, she handles everything insurance – related for the clients to enable them to obtain insurance coverage for their needs, including ensuring all the required paperwork is in place and overseeing the underwriting process from beginning to end until their policy is finalized. As questions come up, Evelyn responds to them in a timely manner providing excellent customer service, based on her experience, product knowledge and her connectivity with each client’s requirements.

Evelyn has been working with high net worth individuals, busy executives, CEOs and business owners as an insurance specialist for over 16 years. Prior to joining OWP, she worked with OWPFN Founding Partner Steve Dark at another financial services firm.  

Evelyn graduated Long Beach City College with an Associate’s Degree focused on Business and holds a California Life & Health Insurance license.

As the mother of two young boys, Evelyn spends most of her free time with her family, but when time allows, she enjoys outdoor photography and going on walks with her kids and her two dogs, a Chocolate and a Beige Retriever.
